Heavenly Father, You created the universe and rested,
Then You created man and he was tested.
Tested by the fruit, he was told not to devour,
But he succumbed to the serpent that very hour.
He knew he had wronged God, that was man’s first sin,
He had disobeyed God, and was hurting within.
Nothing has changed since that day in the garden,
Every day man sins and seeks God’s pardon.
But the price was paid by Jesus at Calvary,
By the blood that was shed that day on the Tree.
Jesus, beaten and whipped was nailed to the Cross,
He did this for us, whilst we were still lost.
The blood that was lost was for all mankind,
Redemption, Salvation, in You we find.
Your broken body, the greatest symbol of love.
So that we can be with God in Heaven above.
