Please hear my groans and sighs,
Hear each cry for help my King.
I pray to You and wait,
Every morning and in the evening.
You are a God who’s not pleased with evil,
And despise violence and sin.
Wrongdoers have no place with You,
Nor men who have evil within.
Because of Your Mercy and Grace,
I can come to Your House day or night.
Bow down in reverence and awe,
And worship to my heart’s delight.
I have so many enemies my Lord,
Please guide me and make Your way plain.
My enemies’ words are full of deceit,
Punish them now and show Your disdain.
Let those who run to You rejoice,
Give shelter to the faithful.
Protect and shield them with Your love,
And bless those who are thankful.
