Please answer me when I pray,
My God who is always there.
You’ve always helped me in the past,
Please be kind and hear my prayer.
God has chosen the faithful,
To be His very own.
He hears me when I call to Him,
I know I’m never alone.
But you had better fear the Lord,
And turn away from sin.
Search your heart as you lie in bed,
Silently from within.
Many people pray for blessings,
For You to be kind O God Divine.
But the joy that You have given me,
Is more valuable than corn or wine.
So when I lie down to go to sleep,
I go to sleep in peace.
For You O Lord do keep me safe,
And my inner turmoils cease.
