My Lord, my God, I come before You now,
I pray that You would guide me and You would teach me how.
How to be a stronger person, to fight for what I know,
Everything that I believe in, to defeat the ‘wicked foe’.
Lord, give me the strength, to be upright and bold,
To carry on regardless, of what the future might hold.
And that You would lift me up, higher than I’ve ever been,
So that I would get a clearer vision, of things ‘til now unseen.
Give me inspiration, to do better things for You,
And grant me the ability, to always see them through.
Even when obstacles, set me back on my heels,
To continue on regardless of what my heart feels.
I’m glad You’re in my life, and that You care so much,
That You are always by my side, that every day I feel Your touch.
I cannot make it on my own, these things please grant to me,
So that I can do great things, for the entire world to see!
