I thank You Jesus for the punishment You took for me,
The beating, the pain, so I could be set free.
For the torment, the humiliation, the agony of the Cross,
The nails in Your hands, the blood that was lost.
You did this for me, a sinner it's true,
I want to tell everyone how my love for You grew.
I give thanks for a love that will never end,
And tell of the grace that God did send.
There's not enough that could ever be said,
About You Jesus, being raised from the dead.
I know I can deal with any worry or pain,
Because of the blood of the Lamb that was slain.
I lift my hands in praise; fall to my knees in awe,
Give thanks to You Jesus, for opening the door.
I remember the enormity of the great sacrifice,
That was made by the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
